Seoyeon's heart still couldn't calm down at the thought of Hogwarts simply being gone. Surely and never lost, but gone. Gone were the walls and everything with it. It hurted to come back to Great Britain as much as it supported her determination that she wouldn't want to let any idealistic freaks take over her memories.
She had brought a book with her to calm her mind down, but somehow, it irritated her. The hero in this book seemed to be already made - he was the best warrior, had this and that. All these powers, a beautiful bride. Well, she knew that everything he cared for would be taken away, but this was a story for the following chapters.
She read one chapter and then closed the book thoughtfully.

Simply put, this book felt wrong. It couldn't be that a book started with a made hero, right? He really had everything. Weapons. A shield. Abilities no one else had. A loving family. A loving bride. There were shadows above the sparkling surface, but was this everything?
She looked out of the window as the train reached London, Central Station. She wasn't home yet, but the memories of Platform Nine and Three Quarter came back. The beginning of heroes - wasn't it always accompanied with small steps? A nobody in and to the world?
A person with all the flaws humans had. But maybe it was just that wish of her because she knew that there were so many faults and mistakes in her life. She didn't regret all of them or maybe even any, but there was sadness covering them.

The main part of a story was certainly making up for past mistakes or things that shouldn't have been this way. She accidentally bumped into another person she knew quite well - and yet, the changes were clearly perceptible for Seoyeon. She looked into a familiar face, the seeker of the British Quidditch Team, a fellow Hufflepuff and one of the people she had pushed away at the end of her first year at Hogwarts.
"Oh, hello," she greeted him surprised, a flash of embarassement came over her. "It's... been a while." She tried to smile faintly while trying not to let the dark emotions bother her. He was different from back then. She remembered quite well that he used to be much brighter.

Brady knew he could have apperated home the moment the train got back to the station. His house wasn't far and it wouldn't take too much magic. But, he was already exhausted and he felt like a walk might be good for his mood. He was really feeling down that day. Sure, his team had won their game the day before against Spain and that helped his mood improve some. But that joy went away when he woke up and remembered his recent conversation with the boy who broke his heart. And he just couldn't shake the feeling as he got ready and boarded the train. And now, being back, he just wanted to walk off his mood and get to his dance studio and dance for the night.

He was so lost in his own thoughts, thinking about what song choreography he wanted to work on and what he could convince his sister to make him for dinner that he almost didn't realize that someone bumped into him. Instinctively he started to bow his head then paused hearing the person talk to him. He blinked, looking down at the smaller girl he remembered from Hogwarts. "Seoyeon?" Seoyeon and him started a good relationship during their school years but out of nowhere she pushed him away. Which seemed to be a theme in his life as of late. She seemed a little thrown off and it made him feel kind of embarrassed as well. "It has been a while," he paused rubbing the back of his neck. "How have you been?" A simple, but loaded question.

Their last meeting hadn't been too good. Seoyeon didn't easily forget faces, and he actually recognised her too - maybe it had been better if she simply had walked away. But the amount of ... she didn't know if it was a feeling after all. He had been hurt deeply.
And the feeling was too strong for her to ignore it, even though she must have looked irritated before she got the control over her face again. What happened to the cheerful child back then? She couldn't be the cause - if he had liked her because of the veela charm, then it would have gone away as soon as he left school, additionally, they hadn't been that close that a wound wouldn't heal. She remembered that he had been confused and hurt.
Did anyone left him?

"I am fine - life's not easy, but it's not too bad," she answered his question with a faint smile, trying not to think too much. It wasn't her business, right? "How have you been? I've read the British team won against Spain, congratulations!" she added with a smile and a calm voice, but the win didn't seem to be of much importance for him now.
And she didn't feel like she would really be able to leave him alone right now. "Where are you heading now? Maybe we could have dinner together before I need to catch my next train." The question was certainly awkward considering how they did part, but once it was out, Seoyeon couldn't think about it any further. Small steps might lead to a new ending. And she already had started - why should she stop now?

It was strange seeing her. He couldn't really remember the last time they had seen each other or even talked for that matter. It had been years. And he never really understood why she stopped talking to him but younger Brady never questioned that kind of stuff. He had always assumed it was because of something he did. So, when she pushed away he figured he had screwed up. Now, older Brady wasn't so sure if it was his fault. But, there was no point in overthinking it. What had happened in the past was the past and clearly she was trying to move past it. Or something of the sort.

"Not too bad is something, better then really bad right?" He answered her, trying to match her small smile. When did it get so hard to smile? But he tried again when she mentioned his teams recent win. It had been a good game, even though Brady's hand was still half broken in places. Instinctively, he pulled his sleeve further over his bruised and wrapped up hand, "thanks. I'm doing fine." It wasn't a complete lie. He wasn't great but at the moment he didn't feel terrible, so he supposed he was fine.

"I was just walking home to get some ramen or something," he said with a small shrug. Then he looked at her surprised. "You wanna have dinner with me?" They hadn't talked in so long but honestly, it sounded nice at the moment. Nice enough that it actually made Brady smile a little bit. Sure, it wasn't a big smile, but it was a smile nonetheless. "Sure, that sounds good."

Seoyeon didn't regret in general that she had pushed so many people away from her - she still didn't trust a lot of males after all. (And some women even when they got too close to her right at the beginning.) But seeing that something miserable was about this grown-up boy still touched a chord in her that simply cared. Cared for those around her because she just could feel how they did and because she couldn't stand these upset feelings drowning her as much as she found them incredibly attractive.

The Korean girl didn't heard about the incident, however, with the broken hand, but noticed that it was wrapped up and bruised. It wasn't the right time probably to ask when that did happen - probably during the match? She didn't believe his words, but in which position was she to question what he said?
Instead of commenting this, she went straightforward with a rather awkward proposition. She was relieved that after the surprise, there was actually a slightly bigger and more honest smile on his face that almost immediately was reflected on her own. "That's awesome! I guess we can't get ramen here, but I'm sure we will find something nice, too."

With these words, she slightly went on, not too fast so she could see if he was moving, too and stop if necessary. "It's been a while since I've been in London... any good places close to here? I need to get my train in... about four hours." She talked a lot for a change, but avoided the important topics - was it too soon for them? She didn't know. She didn't even know how to bring them up if at all.

Brady saw her eyeing his hand which made him instinctivly pull his sleeve further down over the bandages and bruises. And, at the same time, he was rather relieved she didn't ask him what had happened. He didn't know exactly what he would say. Would he lie to her and say something happened during quidditch or would be actually be brave enough to talk about what actually happened? He felt a zing of pain rush down into his hand as he thought about his hand connecting with the brick wall. But he shook his head, trying to shake off the pain and focus on the present moment.

He was honestly a little surprised by her statement of not being in London for a while. But then he remembered she never really lived in London but he was rather curious what she had been doing instead. "Have you just been spending time in Scotland then?" A simple question, curious and wondering. His eyes followed her as she started to walk and he put his good hand in his pocket and proceeded to follow her.

"Okay, so we've got a good amount of time," he nodded, thinking of the best restaurants somewhat nearby. Sure, she could apparate back to the train station but that took a lot of energy so he if kept it close then she could just walk. "What are you in the mood for? There is a lot in this area. All kinds of food." His stomach responded a little to the thought of food and he realized he hadn't eaten anything that day.
